Abreu's Las Posadas 2012 comes from their spectacular Howell Mountain property that David Powell bought in 2000. The Las Posadas vineyard is sited at 2000 feet, above the fog line, protected forest of fir and pine - producing a classic full-bodied, yet refined Cabernet blend.

Abreu Vineyard is owned by David Abreu, a native of Napa Valley who grew up in Rutherford, California in a family with farming interests. He grew up working in vineyards, and eventually founded the Madrona Ranch vineyard back in 1982. Since his first release in 1987, Abreu's wines have quickly wone worldwide acclaim. These wine are, in our opinion, some of the greatest being produced in the Napa today. Wines of great poise, balance and finesse.

”A massive fruit bomb... Forest floor, floral notes, lead pencil shavings, licorice, fruitcake, cedar wood and oodles of black fruits soar from the glass and from the palate of this full-bodied, majestic, multi-layered wine This sensational wine should age effortlessly...” Robert Parker

”So much tar with blackberry and blueberry aromas. Perfumed. Black olive. Forest floor. A fabulous Bordeaux blend with complexity and subtlety. Full-bodied yet polished and refined. Incredible length and finish. Wonderful spice.” James Suckling

”Formally known as Abreu Howell Mountain If you have access to these world class wines, don’t hesitate to purchase them - they are that special.” Robert Parker
