French wines are our specialty

Golden West Wine was established in 1975 and is a family owned and operated business committed to catering to your fine wine tastes. We offer a distinct selection of wines including California cabernet and vintage port as well as merlot, pinot noir, syrah, zinfandel, and chardonnay from California, Australia, Italy and Spain. Our specialty, however, is fine French wines.

If you're looking for wine from France, Golden West wine has a selection for you. We have a number of offerings, primarily bordeaux and champagne, but also offer a number of highly rated (please see our rating key) collectibles. Some of those items include French red wine, red and white burgundy and rhone.

In general, we offer only premium wines from the best vintages including Cheval Blanc, First Growth Chateaux, Haut Brion, Latour, Lafite Rothschild, Colgin, Petrus, and more. Some of our port houses include Cockburn, Dow, Croft, Fonseca, and Graham. Our premier champagnes come from Roederer Cristal, Bollinger, and Krug.

If you're looking for red wines, Golden West wine has a range of elegant selections perfect any evening. French red wine comes with a history of rich soil and climates, and Golden West has a distinct collection of cult wines from the most reputable vineyards in France.

Of all our French wines, our Margaux Bordeaux is one of the most highly rated. Robert Parker, publisher of the Wine Advocate, calls it "a colossal example of Chateau Margaux that is even better from the bottle than it was from the cask". If you're looking for something a little lower in price, our Vogue Chambolle Musigny red burgundy was given a 92 rating by Stephen Tanzer, editor and publisher of International Wine Cellar. He describes it as "penetrating and spicy in the mouth [with] cool black fruit flavors [that] are downright refreshing for the vintage".
