Peter Michael's Cuvée Indigene Chardonnay 2012, which was awarded a perfect 100 points by Robert Parket, is drinking beautifully now, with further promise to come with bottle age.

In 1982, Sir Peter Michael and Lady Michael bought 630 acres of volcanic ridges on the western face of Mount St. Helena in Knights Valley, following a long search for the finest terroir available in the Sonoma. They put in place a brilliant winemaking team to follow and build upon their ethos, which shines through in the 2013 vintage.

”Peter Michael Winery may be the best-run winery of its size for world-class quality..Having followed these wines for nearly two decades, they seem to go from strength to strength, and the 2012s and 2013s may be the finest group of wines Peter Michael has ever produced. This is indeed high praise!

”Utter perfection… possesses copious notes of orange marmalade, apricot, crème brûlée, honeysuckle, citrus oil and nectarines. This beautiful, seamless, exotic, full-bodied, compelling Chardonnay reveals a 45-second finish.” Robert Parker
