Screaming Eagle is one of the Napa's Valley most iconic wines, an absolute legend borne from a fabulous terroir and one of the world's finest winemaking teams.

Screaming Eagle was established by Jean Philips in 1992, making her very first vintage in a plastic rubbish bin from fruit sourced from a gentle, west-facing slope east of the Napa River, where intense heat is tempered by cool afternoon breezes. She took a sample of her her 'homemade' wine to Robert Mondavi, they bottled it and the rest, as they say is history. It is now owned by Stanley Kroenke.

”Stunning... beginning to shed its tannin, the 2006 stands out for its vibrancy and energy. All of the classic Screaming Eagle notes are in the glass, but with a little more edge and cut than in most vintages...utterly breathtaking beauty.”

“…what makes these wines so stunning is the black currant/cassis fruit. Screaming Eagle may be the most extravagantly pure and rich expression of cassis one can find ... short of drinking cassis liqueur. There is an unbelievable purity to these wines, as well as phenomenal concentration and richness, yet in no sense are they heavy, ponderous, or out of balance.” Robert Parker
