Abreu's 2012 Madrona Ranch was rated 100 points by Robert Parker.

Abreu Vineyard is owned by David Abreu, a native of Napa Valley who grew up in Rutherford, California in a family with farming interests. He grew up working in vineyards, and eventually founded the Madrona Ranch vineyard back in 1982. Since his first release in 1987, Abreu's wines have quickly wone worldwide acclaim. These wine are, in our opinion, some of the greatest being produced in the Napa today. Wines of great poise, balance and finesse.

”The perfect 2012 Madrona Ranch displays notes of roasted coffee, forest floor, incense, Christmas fruitcake, blackcurrants and blackberry fruit in an incredibly fragrant, full-bodied, opulent style. Far more dramatic and open-knit Capella, the 2012 Madrona is super-intense, with incredibly velvety tannins. This is a sublime wine of the highest order, a fabulous example of the vintage, and a tribute to the craftsmanship of David Abreu and Brad Grimes."

“…spectacular wines year after year..;.. As I have written many times in the past, all of these wines are truly world-class efforts that stand alongside proprietary red wines made from Bordeaux varietals from any appellation in the world.” Robert Parker
