Barolo

Barolo is Piedmont’s most famous wine area.

Barolo originally produced sweet red wines, but is now widely regarded as producing Italy's finest dry red wines from the Nebbiolo grape. The DOCG Barolo was established back in 1966.

Domenico Clerico and Angelo Gaja are two of the finest exponents of this great Italian wine style. Angelo Gaja is one of Italy`s most renowned and dynamic winemakers, producing world class wines. Eccentric grower Domenico Clerico makes Barolos that combine the fruit and elegance of aroma associated with modern styles with the power and depth of extract sought by traditionalists.
