Domaine Dujac is one of Burgundy’s finest domaines. Acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967, it now comprises 28 acres in Clos de la Roche, Clos St-Denis, Bonnes-Mares, Echézeaux and Charmes-Chambertin.

Jacques Seysses’ approach is one of non-intervention, as he says: "Use knowledge and technology to counter accidents - for example, bad weather - but, if all is going well, don't interfere." Dujac’s wines are neither filtered nor fined and noted for their exceptional fragrance, structure and longevity. Since 2001 Dujac has been moving over to organic practices and today 75% of the domaine is farmed organically.

“Intensely smoky, and with concentrated black cherry, herb, and brown spice aromas, the Dujac 2005 Clos St.-Denis comes onto the palate quite firm, palpably dense, its structural rectitude, fruit pit notes, stony mineral shadings, and abundant fine tannins all somewhat alleviated by ample glycerin and complemented by the sheer sappy juiciness of its ripe black fruits. This is positively fetal when compared with the Clos de la Roche, but exhibits no less remarkable sheer length. Certainly we're looking at another wine with more than a decade's developmental potential." eRobertParker.com
