Grenache
Grenache comes in both red and white wine producing varieties. But Grenache typically refers to the red wine variety Grenache Noir (Grenache Blanc being its white wine producing sibling).

Grenache is suited to hot, dry climates, is one of the most commonly planted grapes in the world, and the most planted variety in its native Spain (where it is also known as Garnacha). It is also an important variety in the southern France, and is widely planted in Australia and parts of California. Grenache typically produces fleshy, fruity red wines – low in tannin, high in alcohol.
