Opus One’s 2013 vintage is intense, generous and complex, and drinking beautifully right now with more development to come in bottle and is in pristine condition. It was rated a perfect 100 points by James Suckling.

Baronne Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi created Opus One in 1979. It became the USA’s first premium fine wine and remains one of Napa Valley’s leading producers to this day, combining traditional techniques in the vineyards with a state-of-the-art winery and cellars. Opus One is an absolutely stunning Californian red and remains a Napa benchmark to this day.

”The greatest Opus ever. Terrific aromas of crushed black currants, blueberries, and flowers with hints of sweet tobacco. Roses continue to exude opulence and class. Full body, superb balance of ultra-fine tannins and vibrant acidity.” James Suckling

”Velvety textured, without a had edge to be found, notes of crème de cassis, blueberry, subtle wood and floral notes gently rise from the wine’s dense purple color. Beautifully full-bodied and extraordinarily elegant and pure.” Robert Parker
