Swanson Salon Petite Sirah 2002
|
Sorry - out of stock
Grape varieties: Petite Sirah 100% Appellation: Napa Valley, California The Swanson Salon Petite Syrah comes from just six rows of vines on Swanson’s Oakville Cross Road Estate, which provides incredibly concentrated fruit for this wine.
Petite Sirah is the North American name for the Durif grape variety, discovered by Dr. Francois Durif in 1880 in France’s Rhône valley. Petite Sirah became a blanket term for several dark-skinned grape varieties (including Durif), and it wasn’t until 1996 that it was discovered that one of Durif’s parents was Syrah. Petite refers to the small, intensely colored berries that produce wines that classically how are blackberry, chocolate and black pepper.
Swanson is situated between Opus One and Silver Oak in the heart of the Napa's finest soils.
Golden West Condition Report: in pristine condition.
