Hundred Acre Vineyard's Ark Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 was rated a perfect 100 points by Robert Parker.

Hundred Acre's vineyards are prime Napa Valley terroirs, selected by former vineyard manager Jim Barbour who deemed them ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. He has been proved right. Since then, the current owner, Jayson Woodbridge, brought in consulting winemaker Philippe Melka, who told him that the soil resembled that of Château Pétrus (of Bordeaux's Pomerol). The vineyards are spared hot afternoon sunlight and the soils absorb water slowly to keep the vines cool. The results are outstanding.

”...amazingly deep, rich, blueberry, blackberry and mulberry scented and flavored wine with skyscraper-like texture, remarkable intensity, again great, great purity, and the new oak completely concealed by the lavish and extravagant amounts of fruit. One hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon, as are all these wines, the Ark Vineyard is certainly another blockbuster wine with no hard edges that comes across like a flawlessly constructed dress from an haute couture house in Paris."
Robert Parker

”One of California’s (perhaps the world’s) most flamboyant, talented, contrarian wine producers is Napa Valley’s.” Jayson Woodbridge
