Abreu Thorevilos 2003 is a premium single vineyard, cult Californian Cabernet, crafted in the style of a fine Bordeaux growth with a worldwide following to match.

Abreu Vineyard is owned by David Abreu, a native Napa Valley who grew up in Rutherford, California in a family with farming interests. David grew up working in vineyards, and eventually founded the Madrona Ranch vineyard back in 1982. Since his first release in 1987, Abreu's wines have quickly wone worldwide acclaim.

"The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Thorevilos is borderline perfection, an unreal wine with notes of crushed rocks, acacia flowers, blueberry pie, and creme de cassis intertwined with a bit of smoke, espresso roast, and chocolate. The wine is phenomenally rich, has great nobility, purity, and a finish that goes on for just over a minute. This is an amazing wine...

"...about as good as it gets…Is anyone anywhere in the world making more consistently profound wines than the famous viticulturalist David Abreu?"
Robert Parker
