Arbreu Vineyard is owned by David Abreu, a native Napa Valley who grew up in Rutherford, California in a family with farming interests. David grew up working in vineyards, and eventually founded the Madrona Ranch vineyard back in 1982. Since his first release in 1987, Abreu's wines have quickly wone worldwide acclaim. These wine are, in our opinion, some of the greatest being roduced in Napa today. Wines of great poise, balance and finesse.

"California Cabernet Sauvignon might get better than this, but not by much! With layer after layer of perfectly ripe, lush, opulent black, blue and dark red berries, the wine coats your mouth and stays there for what seems like at least 60 seconds! There is a beautiful elegant texture that completely balances the intensity and power of the wine." Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider

“…the finest Madrona Ranch Cabernet Sauvignons Abreu has yet produced, and that is saying something… as good as it gets for Bordeaux varietals in Napa...or anywhere else in the world. “…a compelling, creamy-styled red offering an assortment of aromas, including white chocolate, graphite, forest floor, blackberries, cassis and blueberries. Pure, multilayered and super-rich, without any harshness or astringency, this is one of those wines that can be drunk young or laid away for 25+ years.” Robert Parker

"Is anyone anywhere in the world making more consistently profound wines than the famous viticulturalist David Abreu and his long-time sidekick and assistant, former chef Brad Grimes?

exquisite examples of Bordeaux blends that are true first growths in every sense"  Robert Parker
