Biondi-Santi’s Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is the flagship wine of this historic and famed Tuscan estate. Dating back to the 1800’s the estate is now run by Jacopo haven taken over from the legendary Franco who did much to maintain Biondi-Santi as one the premier estates in all Italy. The Riserva is made only in the best years from old vines and matured for 3 years in barrel.

“The estate’s flagship Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is terrific in 2007. Rose petals, red cherries, flowers and spices are all layered together. This isn’t a huge wine, but rather a Brunello of elegance, refinement and pure finesse.

Ruby with a beautiful sparkle. Refined nose gradually unfurling aromas of undergrowth, dark tobacco, spices and a touch of vanilla. Extremely elegant, fresh palate with tightly-wound, melted tannins. Persistent, rigid finish. A top-notch wine.” Gilbert & Gaillard

“Biondi-Santi remains a beacon for traditionally made Rosso and Brunello.” eRobertParker.com
