Bottle report: Very good condition overall, close to excellent

Dom Perignon is Moët and Chandon’s top cuvée and the 1992 vintage was rated 91 points by Stephen Tanzer - a rare Champagne for those very special occasions.

The quality of Cuvée Dom Perignon is attributed to the fact that it is only made in truly exceptional vintage years from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir; which are picked from only the very best crus of the entire region. Add to this the impressive winemaking skills of George Blanck, and it is no surprise that this 1995 offers something very special indeed.

“Very fine aromas of quinine, lemon, lime, minerals and gingery; lightly musky suggestion of yeast autolysis. Very intensely flavored and solidly structured but already quite accessible and open to inspection...excellent persistence this is a ripe and delicious wine.” Stephen Tanzer

"Elegant, with a smooth, creamy texture, this Champagne shows evolved aromas and flavors of toast, honey, grilled nuts and mushrooms in a soft yet balanced structure." Wine Spectator
