The 1977 is considered one of the finest Vintages of the second half of the 20th Century and declared by all the major Houses. Marked by well structured, balanced wines with strong tannins, they have great elegance and staying power. The best of them have the tannin and structure to age for decades.

"A very good '77. Maturing well; high-toned, 'herbal' bouquet; fairly sweet, a good ripe mouthful." Michael Broadbent (5 Stars)

"Big and as hard as nails. Loads of raspberry and fruit aromas, with a green stem edge. Full-bodied and sweet, with an iron backbone of acidity. Long finish." Wine Spectator

"The 1977...is fabulously scented, very rich and concentrated and has a potential longevity of at least 30-50 years."  Michael Broadbent (5 Stars)
