Dow's Vintage Ports, aged in wood for approximately two years and bottled unfiltered. The house has followed a policy of investing in premium quality vineyards for over a century, and was one of the first port houses to buy quintas (vineyards) in the remote eastern reaches of the Douro Valley at the end of the 19th century.

The backbone of Dow's Vintage Ports is drawn from the company's finest vineyards - the Quinta do Bomfim and Senhora da Riberia – each property contributing to the wine's unique character and class.

”Very grapey, with lots of black licorice and blackberry character. Full-bodied, with ultrafine tannins and a long, exquisite finish. Refined and well-made.” Wine Spectator

"...a strikingly provocative aromatic display (flowers, licorice, blackberries, and cassis). This firmly-structured, classic, tightly-knit, restrained port exhibits brilliant purity as well as impressive intensity. While not the most dramatic or flamboyant, it is a beautiful, classically structured port that will age gracefully." Robert Parker
