Kistler Vineyards is a small, family owned and operated winery, which has built up a cult following since being established in 1978.

Kistler produces world class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir using old world Burgundian techniques applied to new world vineyards that stretch from western Sonoma County to the area just north of San Fransisco Bay. Its meticulous attention to detail has given it a just reputation for bottling some of the finest new world examples of these two varietals for over 30 years. Kistler’s wines are extremely difficult to get hold of and are known for their intensity, focus and balance.

“If the Kistler Winery could be magically transported to the middle of Burgundy’s Cote d’Or, it would quickly gain a reputation as glorious as any producer of Burgundy grand crus.” Robert Parker

”...offers notes of raspberries, kirsch, plums, Allspice, and damp forest…. full-bodied with excellent fruit and richness…

”…some of the most thrilling wines being made in California today...Kistler has enjoyed a run of terrific vintages in the new century. Moreover, they seem to be ratcheting up their performance in terms of the quality and complexity of their Pinot Noirs.” Robert Parker

”Strikingly vibrant aromas of red berries, blood orange, flowers and minerals. Fleshy, succulent strawberry and raspberry preserve flavors are enlivened by zesty minerality and given depth by a slow-building cola quality.” Stephen Tanzer
