This rare Bin 707 1994 is from the hugely impressive Penfolds range and top ranked amongst Australia’s Cabernets, critically acclaimed, highly sought after with a strong international following. This wine sells out immediately upon release and back vintages such as this are rare.

Penfold's Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful Australian Bordeaux-inspired red from the Barossa Valley. The Bin 707 style combines intense varietal definition with new American oak to produce wines of great richness, harmony and concentration. Penfolds wine estate was founded by an English doctor (Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold), who migrated to South Australia in the mid-19th Century. Penfold had a firm belief in the medicinal value of port and sherry and began making fortified wine for his parents.

”Penfolds' most impressive Cabernet Sauvignon is the 1994 Bin 707. This murky plum-colored, blockbuster, backward, exceptionally tannic Cabernet displays abundant quantities of blackberry and cassis fruit, a heavy overlay of toasty vanillin from new oak casksss.” Robert Parker

"Deep purple-red; a wonderfully fragrant, powerful and intense aroma proclaiming Cabernet Sauvignon at the height of its youthful power leads on to a formidable palate, crammed with fruit and oak….will sweep all before it before it is finished in its show career." James Halliday
